By burning waters, and smoldering bridges,
I await the genesis of our animosity.
Make the move that gives me permission to strike,
make the move that will bring about your end.

Near draws the line that which I advise you to never cross.
Though to my eyes comes the image of your sprinting legs.
It would seem, that through your veins flows pure pestilence,
and that you wish to bring upon me, nuisances by any cost.

Good God, such a fool bound for my throat,
knowing not the patient blade that waits.
Honor averts it's eyes, as your charge draws to an end.
It wishes this good and done, just as I.

A swift jerk of my arm to your direction

All In A Nights Work...In this hallowed cradle
I lay but do not sleep
Waiting for the sunlight
It's dying hour to greet

As the shadows lengthen
My thirst begins to rise
Eyelids slowing moving
I open blood red eyes

Fingers stretch and waken
Being dead is such a blast
Hunting in the moonlight
A sweet and pleasant task

Leaving this dark palace
I dance 'neath silver beams
Merging with the darkness
I listen for your dreams

When at last I find you
My pretty little prize
Haunting music calls you
I love how you comply!

From the blackest corner
I watch you in your bed
Turning dreams to nightmares
I play with your dear head

Slowly then I come to you

The Poets Birth...Snow is gently falling
I feel it's cold caress
My world disappearing
All by ice possessed

Passions embers dying
Love falling from the sky
Screaming out to heaven
The simple question, why?

Helplessly I'm watching
I know my heart must die
A thousand broken shards
No more to rise and fly

The sky is cold and black
The stars so far away
Beneath this long dead moon
My crying soul must stay

I begged the sun, 'don't go'
Yet from my sky she fled
Left me alone and dying
And not a word was said

Love thy blade bites deeply
There's crimson on the snow
And from this bleeding heart
The hurting words shall flow

Tears like rain are fa

The Impossible TaskHow to write a moonbeam
Or golden ray of light
Words to capture beauty
When heaven is in sight?

This poets quill may fail
Unfit for such a task
Though to paint such wonder
God's hand alone I'd ask

Mine eyes light upon thee
I struggle so to breathe
Lost in perfect rapture
Thy side I hate to leave

Child of Aphrodite
Radiant womanhood
Knowest that I love thee
And wouldst hold thee if I could?

Thou my heart hast stolen
I live for thee alone
Bound in these lonely chains
For love must I atone?

For one moment with thee
I would surrender all
To steal a heavenly kiss
And then on sword to fall...

Beyond...Beyond the sea of loneliness
And past forgotten shores
There is a realm of mystery
Though few can find its door

A world of dreams and wishes
Where cats fly in the sky
Puppies sail boats on rivers
With no one asking why?

Pilgrims travel silver paths
Their guide a plain white dove
Like ark's in search of land
These hearts just look for love

Here poets write with moonbeams
And paint what's in their heart
Never fearing brokenness
For hurt just plays a part

How sweet this place of wonder
Where rainbows serve as slides
And butterflies will lift you
To take that magic ride

And yet for all its splendor
There's something here I mi

One thing I know for certain
Is that I'll never know what it's like
To exist in the United States Of America
In any form other than white

I'll never know how it feels
To be African, Spanish, or Asian
Because all I ever knew
Was how to be Caucasian

I'll never know the struggle
To be forced to maintain bravery
What it's like to be oppressed
What it's like to deal with slavery

Further if I may add
I never had to endure
The rights women and gays fought for
Before we found a cure

I'll never know the feeling
Of having rights taken away
Just because of my skin
Or just because I'm gay

Its this very recognition

Sensitivitys roots

Sensitivity’s roots catch me by the neck

Crawling till it reaches my head

Drowning me in the sea of negativity

Making me breathless

As it binds me in chains as I swim free

As if forever I was bound

Never breathing like a living corpse

Trying to do life’s ways

The key to my living soul is out of reach

It appears as sudden as it disappears

It’s called the key of free will

Sometimes it’s in the hands of the self-indulging fool

Who keeps a barricaded wall-like cage

to protect himself

To keep me from reaching it…

From time to time I break free from this

chained negativity

My father once told me that life is supposed to be a struggle
And that everyone has their own specific type of hustle.

Whether it be working in an office or stacking products on a shelf.
Naturally we all share the same aim of accumulating wealth.

He also told me that nothing is promised in this life time.
When you least expect it the man upstairs will throw you a life line.

Something or someone that will give you a reason to continue.
Awaken the hidden belief and talent that law dormant within you.

He then told me that happiness and success are short lived.
In time your name will both appear and disappear from life's short

Your life is a boat

Wandering the desolate seas.

Sunshine

Stillness

But then nothing.

Until the heavens open.

Lightning strikes

Thunder cracks.

The seas waves grow and grow

Hitting your mast,

What guides you

pulling you on your right path.

From beneath

In the dark deep waters

Lurks a demon.

A demon so big

It will swallow you whole.

Sink you

until your last dying breath.

The Kraken

Your worst enemy.

It will wrap its deadly tentacles around you.

Squeeze away your pleading scream.

The Kraken?

It's your life's worst enemy.

Death.

Many a time I have used images for my poetry on Deviant Art and have stated that the image was not my own. I forgot to add it on this time. Thank you for noticing and bringing it to my attention.

it is an amazing poem! i really enjoyed it...
i was just really surprised because i thought it was just a pic at first.
its cool, sorry if i seemed like i was down on you about it, i just really feel its important that credit always goes where it should... the internet is full of people stealing other peoples stuff...
again, im not saying you are, but im always on guard for it because there are so many doing it.
